Building Energy Efficiency Certificate

The CBD (Commercial Building Disclosure) Program came into full effect
on the 1st of November 2011 and requires most sellers, lessors or sub-lessors of office spaces greater than 1000m2 to disclose a valid and current Building Energy Efficiency Certificate (BEEC) before selling or leasing their building on the market. This is necessary to comply with current Australian Government regulations.

A BEEC includes:

A NABERS Energy Rating based on energy audits of the past 12 months.

CBD Tenancy Lighting Assessment

A CBD TLA establishes the Nominal Lighting Power Density (NLPD) of relevant functioning spaces in a building. This certification is valid for 5 years.

General energy efficiency guidance

By establishing a performance-based benchmark, we'll help you get on track with meeting your sustainability goals.

A CBD TLA (Tenancy lighting assessment) is a key requirement of a BEEC under the CBD program and measures the power density of the general lighting system (both installed and proposed) in affected buildings.

At NettZero we are firm believers in the mantra “You can’t manage what you don’t measure”

Acquiring a BEEC is the first step in accessing and understanding meaningful information about a building’s performance.

Improving building energy efficiency is one of the quickest and most cost-effective ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help mitigate climate change. A NettZero conducted BEEC will ensure your building or tenancy is compliant with the Commercial Building Disclosure Program.

NettZero submit more BEEC applications each year than any other organisation in Australia.
